Honey Run Bridge

Chico is the home of California State University-Chico complete with magnificent ivy-covered buildings and Big Chico Creek meandering through the campus. 

Tour the historic three story, 26 room Victorian Bidwell Mansion, centerpiece of the Bidwell Mansion State Historic Park. The home stands as a memorial to Chico's founding father, John Bidwell and his wife Annie. The Italian Villa-styled brick structure was the first house in Northern California to have indoor plumbing.  

Walk, hike or bike through the 3,500 acre Bidwell Park,with it's stately oak trees and rugged canyons winding through the foothills.The park is the third largest municipal park in the nation. Looking for a spot for lunch or dinner after visiting the university or the park? Our quaint and historic downtown located at the entrance of CSUC offers a wide variety of options for every taste and price range. Don't forget to visit the National Yo-Yo Museum and see the world's largest working wooden yo-yo. Annual competitions held each October.
